What happens during your head spa
It runs in the same order every time, and nothing about it is rushed. Your stylist starts with a scalp analysis — what the skin is actually doing, not what the hair looks like — and picks the ritual to match. You are reclined into the massage chair, the lights come down, and the cleanse begins in warm water. Treatment goes on at the follicle and sits under steam while the massage works: acupressure through the scalp, neck and shoulders for the Chronologiste, the midnight jade gua sha comb for the ARETE. The strand is finished root to tip, the hair is dried and styled before you leave, and you are given hot towels and a warm neck wrap on the way out. Sixty to ninety minutes, one guest at a time.
Kérastase Chronologiste
An anti-ageing ritual from French haircare science. Scalp analysis, then the Chronologiste Pro-Xylane complex at the follicle, a Masque Noir deep treatment layered with Perles Concentré de Vitalité under steam, and a closing acupressure massage. Offered in Signature, Express, and Luxury lengths.
ARETE Alchemic Detox
A clean-ingredient scalp reset. Micro-exfoliation lifts buildup, sebum, and residue; a botanical herbal wash draws out impurities; the midnight jade gua sha comb massage improves circulation; a botanical bond-repair application finishes the strand root to tip.
A head spa is not a shampoo

Before you come, and after you leave
Come with your hair as it is — unwashed is fine, and dry shampoo or product build is the thing the ritual is for, not something to hide. Leave your scalp concerns unedited in the consultation; flaking, itch, tenderness and thinning all change what gets chosen. Afterwards the scalp usually feels lighter and slightly cooler for a day or so, and hair holds a blowout better on a clean root. There is no downtime and nothing to reapply at home, though the House will name the one product worth using if your scalp needs it.

How often should I get one?
Monthly is the House recommendation for ongoing scalp health, which is why both rituals are offered as one- and two-a-month memberships. A single session is a strong reset after colour or extension work.
